Personalized Learning Day, Friday, January 14th
January 14th is our first Personalized Learning Day.
Check your email for information from schools this week. The following information was sent out in our January 7th #IL3 Newsletter:
Shelby County Public Schools Board of Education voted to amend the calendar for the Spring of 2022 and added Personalized Learning Days (PLDs).
These occur one Friday a month. The dates are January 14th, February 4th, March 25th, April 22nd, and May 6th. You can find an amended school calendar HERE. https://www.shelby.kyschools.us/page/2...
Here are some details for parents and students regarding Personalized Learning Days.
Start and End Time for students in attendance.
Elementary 7:30 - 11:30
Middle and High 8:30 - 12:30
Students will be invited by their teachers for the following purposes:
- Remediation
- Standard Recovery
- AP/ACT Practice Exams
- Defenses of Learning Development
- Enrichment Activities
- Opportunities to Learn
If you have questions, please contact your child’s school or teacher.
Breakfast and Lunch will be served to those students attending.
Transportation will be provided. During the morning route, bus drivers will be running regular routes but may arrive earlier than normal at the usual stops.
If your child is invited to attend a Personalized Learning Day, please RSVP so plans can be made for instruction, transportation, and meals.
This is a NON-INSTRUCTIONAL DAY. Students will not be participating in at-home learning.
This is NOT an NTI Day.
